In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ANDREWS, Alfred John - Born February 4, 1918, Calgary, Alberta. Passed away at home amongst his family and loved ones, Thursday, March 24, 1994, at the age of 76. Alf is lovingly remembered by his wife, Betty and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews in Calgary and Victoria; grandchildren, Angela, Dan, Jennifer, Tessie, Luke and Katy and stepchildren (Garry) Pam, Cindy, Tim and Doug. Alf joined the Navy in 1936 and served for 27 years. Alf was a member of Haida Association and Chiefs & P.O.'s Association. Alf spent 7 years as Security Commissionaire at Victoria Airport. Alf was the Animal Control Officer for Central Saanich and champion for all creatures large and small in Brentwood ever since. Alf requested no service and in lieu of flowers, he wished donations may be made to the Victoria Hospice Society, 1900 Fort Street, Victoria, B.C. V8R 1J8.
