In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DEATH, Wilfred Edwin - With love and gratitude for the almost 98 years he shared with us, his family is sad to announce his passing. He is now able to reunite with his wife and best friend Jackie, his parents Fred and Nella, his brother Norton, his grandson Spencer and so many of his other relatives, friends and colleagues who have passed before. He leaves behind his sons, Wayne and John, his sister Edna, his other five grandchildren, Jason, Andrea, Shane, Shannon and Mikylah and his seven great grandchildren.
Wilfred served a combined 44 years with the Canadian Navy and the Metropolitan Toronto Police Force, retiring at the rank of Staff Sargeant. He was a loving and supportive son, husband, father and grandfather throughout his life, frequently entertaining family and friends with his stories and life experiences. He will be missed by all. Cremation has taken place and and a private ceremony and a Celebration of Life will held at a later date. A great thank you to the staff at Royal Rose who cared for him in his final months and to his ex daughter in law Noreen for her friendship and support these past several years.
