JENKINSON William Leslie - suddenly June 12, 2003. Born February 17, 1927 Whitemouth, MB. Predeceased by loving wife Joan; sister Evelyn Dickie; brothers, John and James. Survived by sister Della Mulder (Everett) and many nieces and nephews. Les retired from the Royal Canadian Navy in 1970 as P1 and the Department of National Defence in 1983. He was a staunch supporter and longtime member of the Goldstream Howard English Hatchery, the Horticultural Center of the Pacific, Esquimalt Anglers, lifetime member of the Petty Officers Mess, CFB Esquimalt and Legion Branch 172. Les will missed by a legion of friends, especially longtime friends, Jack Stidston and Christina Herler. No service was held at Les' request. "A Farewell to Les" was held at the Chief and Petty Officers Mess from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Friday, June 20. All of his friends were welcomed. No flowers please; donations may be made to the Goldstream Howard English Hatchery or a charity of ones choice. (Winnipeg Free Press 21 Jun 2003)
