In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ELLIS, Vernon William - It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Vernon William Ellis at Ridgewood Veterans Health Wing on June 7, 2022. Vernon was born in London, ON on November 23, 1927. He was the husband of the late Audrey (MacKinnon) Ellis. He will be lovingly remembered by his cherished family. Vernon was proud of his military service, serving 2 years as a reservist Artillery Gunner with the Canadian Military, and 16 years with the Royal Canadian Navy. He worked as a constable with the Saint John Police for numerous years and retired as a Safety Officer at Saint John Ship Building after working there for several years. Vernon loved a good game of hockey, cheering for the Flames. He was an avid baseball fan and rarely missed the chance to cheer for his Toronto Blue Jays. Arrangements have been entrusted to Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, NB (506-646-2424). All services will be held privately as per Vernon’s wishes.
