In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
LOWRY, Gregory Paul - Age 57, of Sackville, passed away on June 18, 2022, from cancer. Greg was born on August 20, 1964 in Ontario. In 1981, Greg joined the Canadian Navy, retiring in 2005 as PO2. Greg continued his love of the sea by working offshore for 11 more years, at which time he joined Irving [2018-2022]. Anyone who knew Greg, knows his family was most important to him. Followed closely by his guitar, friends and beer. Greg left a lasting impression on everyone he met. In 1985, Greg met Sheila in Halifax. Greg and Sheila married in 1987 and had two children, Alycia, 32; SammyJo, 28. Greg was predeceased by his mother and father, Joan and Ronald Lowry; also his brother, Robert Lowry. Arrangements are planned to spread Greg's ashes at sea, as per his request. He also requested no celebration of life. Cremation was provided through Harbourside Regional Crematorium. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the QEII Heath Sciences Centre Foundation, an organization Greg felt strongly about. (The Saltwire Network 29 Jun 2022)
