HARE, Lester Kenneth - 76, Bridgewater, Lunenburg Co., passed away June 4, 1998, in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater. Born January 30, 1922 in Halifax, he was a son of the late Kenneth and Beatrice (Green) Hare. He was predeceased by brothers, Harvey and Percy, his wives, Edna Moline Borgald (Walsh), Dorothy Mae Phinney and Vivian Anita Turple (Wentzell); son, Eugene. He is survived by daughter-in-law Nadine; grandchildren, Karen Lisa and Michael Allen (Toronto). Surviving stepchildren are Doloras Walsh (Chester Basin), Jane Wentzell (Chester Basin), Linda Wentzell (Dartmouth), and Peter Wentzell (Bridgewater). He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving overseas with the RCNVR. He was employed by the RCMP Marine Division and Canada Post and Bedford Magazine, He had been a professional photographer, wood carver and painter. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, June 11, in Aenon United Baptist Church, Chester Basin, Rev. Leo Gallant officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to South Shore Regional Hospital palliative care or the charity of choice. Arrangements entrusted to Davis Funeral Home, Chester.
