In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WALSH, Ron - Age 77, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2022 at the home that he built on Brookside Road, Hatchet Lake. Ron left Cape Breton at an early age and became a sailor for the Canadian Navy. He retired from there and went on to become a carpenter and later on to his own pool and spa business. He was well-known for his work truck with a bathtub on the roof. In his spare time he enjoyed playing guitar and singing silly songs. Ron was predeceased by his parents, Sidney Murray and Mildred Anne (Cleveland) Walsh; and sister-in-law, Nancy. He is survived by brothers, David, Charlie (Sharon). He was a loving father to Matthew (Tracey) and proud of his grandsons, Luke and Ben. A huge thank you to Mary, Glen and Josh Burns for being such caring neighbors. Cremation has taken place under the care of Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. Ron will be going back to Cape Breton to be buried with his parents in Oceanview Cemetery, Gabarus on August 18th in the afternoon. (The Saltwire Network 02 Aug 2022)
