Citation for Mentioned in Despatches: PEMBER, Wilfred E., Warrant Master-at-Arms, Member - Order of the British Empire (MBE), RCN, HMCS Stadacona - Awarded as per Canada Gazette of 5 June 1943 and London Gazette of 2 June 1943:
"This Warrant Officer has carried out the arduous duties of Warrant Master-at-Arms in HMCS Stadacona with zeal, loyalty and cheerfulness. He has, at all times displayed tact, and has made a very great contribution to the discipline of the Royal Canadian Navy"
