In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
VROOMAN, David Geoffrey - Passed away at the Kootenay Regional Hospital in Trail, BC on 17 November 2022 after a battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife Ivy, daughter Kerry Lynne (Vrooman) Vossen. He was predeceased by daughter Angela Catherine Vrooman.
Dave was born on 23 January 1951 in Shoreham-By-Sea, UK to David & Rose Vrooman. He grew up in Guelph, Ontario.
Dave joined the Canadian Forces (Navy) in September 1969. He began his submarine career in 1973. He served in HMCS ANNAPOLIS, ASSINIBOINE, SKEENA, QU'APPELLE, KOOTENAY, PROTECTEUR, Submarines OKANAGAN, OJIBWA and ONONDAGA. He retired from the Military on 05 April 2004.
Dave enjoyed living in BC and all that the outdoors and beauty offered.
As per Dave's wishes there will not be any funeral service or visitation. Dave was cremated and his ashes will be spread at a later date in Salmo, BC where he resided.
