GILES Cecil - Suddenly, after a courageous battle with cancer in his 82nd year; dearly beloved husband of 60 years to Helen Giles; dear father of Gloria Gary Crawford, Dave Marsha Giles, Pat Sharon Giles, Barb Don Guest, Scott Laura Giles and the late Timothy Allen Giles; dear grandpa of Travis, Chad and Michelle Crawford, Jason and Adam Giles, Jeff and Jennifer Giles, Aaron and Amy Fullerton, Casey and Zachary Guest and Tarah Giles; great-grandpa of Rianna, Brandon, Austin and Jaden.
Cecil Giles was a retired Provincial Bailiff at the Burtch Correctional Centre, where he worked for 23 years; was a former Dairyman of the Terrace Hill Bordens Dairy, where he worked for 20 years; was a former Cub Master with the Mt. Pleasant Boy Scouts; was a coach in numerous minor sports teams in Mt. Pleasant; served in the Navy during the Second World War and was an operator of the landing craft at the Normandy Landing.
Friends will be received for a memorial visitation at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Thursday 7 to 9 p. m. Memorial Service in the Chapel on Friday at 11 a. m. Cremation
If wished, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Victorian Order of Nurses gratefully appreciated.
