In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
HOWE, Donald Peter - age 79, Dartmouth passed away December 12, 2022 in Dartmouth General Hospital. Born in Sheet Harbour, he was a son of the late Albert and Mary (Glode) Howe.
Donald was a Petty Officer with the Royal Canadian Navy, and later was a jack of all trades. He enjoyed playing pool, playing the guitar, and especially spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Glenda (McKay) Howe; children, Wendy Lynn (Randy) Bonvie, Donald John (Denise) Howe, Wanda Charlene Howe; brother, James (Florella) Howe; sisters, Marlene (Albert) Rowe, Cathy Smiley; grandchildren, Matthew Bonvie, Lindsey Bonvie-Lemire, Colten Howe, Taryn Howe, Dryden Howe, Sydney Howe; great granddaughter, Lucy Bonvie-Meloche.
He was predeceased by sisters, Laverne Howe, Dorothy Boutilier, Anne Cherniski, Blanche Asprey, Pauline Woodworth, Roxie Asprey, Florence (Fred) Starzynski, Flossie (Bill) Markie; brothers, Doug Howe, Albert Howe.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside memorial service will be held 2 PM Monday December 19th in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens. Donations in memory may be made to Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation.
