In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
CREIGHTON, Harry Douglas - It is with heaviest of hearts that we inform you of the passing of Harry Douglas Creighton, after a long battle with cancer.
Harry is survived and missed by his loving wife Darlene (nee Martel), children Leonard and Trina. Forever beloved by his five grandsons Jeremy, Daniel, Patrick, Josh, and Alex. Sister Cleo and brother Dan.
Proceeded by mother Cleo (nee Keenan), and brother Michael and Robert (Bob).
Born in Ottawa Ontario, moving to Dartmouth at a young age to join RCN for two decades. After leaving the service Harry was recruited into the medical field traveling worldwide for years until becoming and retiring a medical health worker in the field of radiology and x-ray.
A devoted friend to anyone who knew him, Harry showed family extended beyond blood. We would like to thank and acknowledge the LeGier and Killam families as well as Joseph and his family for all the support and caring over the years.
Always pushing his intellect, Harry loved to read consistently and visit the library daily. Crosswords, problem solving puzzles and how things worked amused him, usually with a cigar in his shed no matter the weather or season.
Harry's favorite time was with family over dinners and special events, and enjoying every moment possibly with his loving wife of over 53 years. Encircled with family when he left us, surrounded by love. He will forever be missed.
Husband, father, grandfather, father in law, brother, uncle and son, there was no roll he did not excell at.
We ask that everyone respect that no memorial or service will be at this time of year. (Dartmouth Funeral Home and Crematorium Ltd)
