In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DRAPER, Richard Allan - age 76, of Dartmouth NS passed away peacefully at the palliative care unit of the VG Hospital with loving family at his side.
Born in Ottawa he was the elder son of the late Ralph Leslie (Les) Draper and the late Susie Gwenyeth (Burchell) Draper. Besides his parents he was predeceased by his sister, Aileen Bird.
He is survived by his loving wife Cathy ( Condran) Draper and his brother Hugh (Ruth) Draper of Carleton Place, Ontario and several other close family members.
Rick enjoyed hunting and fishing with good friends (even if just to enjoy God's amazing creation), field training of dogs, and the re-enactment of 18th century events. He was also a gifted character sketch-artist and painter. Rick served with the Royal Canadian Navy as a medic and later graduated with honours as a LPN from NSCC, working at Dartmouth General Hospital on 3 east.
We rejoice that Rick knew the Lord Jesus as his Saviour and was firm in his faith to the very end, and is now with Him. Rick was in Christian fellowship at Northbrook Bible Chapel, 225 Victoria Road, Dartmouth, for over 45 years where his memorial service will be held. (Ronald K. Walker Funeral Directors)
