In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
MILLER, Kenneth Arthur - Dearly beloved husband of Madeline passed away peacefully at her side on March 22nd at 4 a.m. He had received the Last Sacrament and was without pain.
Ken was born on January 17th 1926, in Winnipeg and was the youngest of eight siblings-now the last. At a young age he worked on the family farm as his father was unable to work. When he turned seventeen, he joined the Navy in World War II and served in Submarine Detection. He worked for Air Canada for 34 years as a Machinist and Aerospace Worker, after which he had his own business in heating and refrigeration.
He
is survived by his loving wife, Madeline, his daughter, Leslie, from his
first marriage and her children Aleasha and Ashley. He is also survived by
his step-children: Andre (Sherri), who he loved as a son: Ann (John) and
Noreen(Trent and step-grandchildren-Sarah, Nikki, Brian, Max, Bianca, and
Sahara. He leaves a niece, Keren (Ian) , nephew Murray (Laurie) and two
godchildren: Marshall (Andrea) and Dirshauuna (her father ,Rod, being a very
long time friend.)
Grateful thanks go out to Dr. Ma for his excellent care and to doctors in the past ( Dr. Connell, Dr. Webb and Dr. Davies.) also the many nurses and faithful Home Support Workers, the Pharmacist, Barrie (Jennifer), many nurses, and the prayers of many friends.
A graveside ceremony was held at Gardens of Gethsemani Cemetary on March 31st and if possible a Memorial Mass will be held in the future. (The Vancouver Sun / The Province 11 Apr 2020)
