In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
BRADLEY, Ralph A. - 67, of Orillia, Ontario, passed away peacefully with his daughters by his side, January 15, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. Ralph joined the Canadian Navy right out of high school and remained a proud veteran and true supporter of The Canadian Armed Forces. After leaving the Navy, he worked at the Ford Motor Company. With increasingly difficult years due to back issues, Ralph went back to school in the late 1980s and achieved a college degree. He secured work at MPAC and remained with the company until his retirement in 2015. During his 30 years of employment at MPAC, he was an active President for the local union in Owen Sound until moving to Barrie. Ralph loved fishing in Owen Sound, was passionate about golf and golf and golf (even achieved a hole-in-one!), his motorcycles (even the back-breaking trips to Newfoundland) and Rv-ing in his unique Rialto! He made copious friends along the way, and anyone whom he met was welcomed and considered a friend and one of the family! He had a great sense of humour, was courageous to the end, and had love of life, family, and friends! He had a ready smile, was always, always ready to help family, friends, or even a stranger! We will always remember his love of singing and karaoking to the true greats: Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra, and Dean Martin. Next time you hear one of those songs..think of our Ralph. A big THANK YOU to everyone who visited this last month! He was touched by your presence, and we were blessed to witness his courage and humor which appeared at the most unlikely moments and demonstrated his inimitable personality. Ralph is predeceased by parents Ralph Sr. and Margaret Bradley, and his brother Bill Bradley (Kim Bradley). He is survived by: his two daughters Jacqueline Taylor (Bill Taylor Sr.), Jennifer Bradley (partner Carrie Loyens), and grandchildren Billy Jr. and Isabel Taylor; his second wife, Nancy Bradley, and three stepchildren: Tania Auer (Roy German) and grandchildren Norah, Nathan, Evelyn; Callum Auer (Brittnee Auer) and grandchildren Jayden, Rylie, and Bryson; and Britt-Marie Auer (Dustin Kennaley); his sisters: Maureen Henderson (John Henderson) and Larraine Langlois (Henry Domachowski), and his nieces and nephews, and his first wife Kathleen Langman (Guy Langman). He is also survived by loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of long-time friends. Our Ralph will be greatly missed by his family and friends. A Celebration of Life will be planned in the near future.
Go on Soldier... until we meet again...
