HELPS, George Elgin - joined RCN in 1956 at HMCS Chippewa, Winnipeg, MB. Served with VU-32, VS-880, VS-881 and HMCS BONAVENTURE to 1966 working on board to repair Trackers. Leading Seaman. Private pilot, enjoyed motorcycling, camping and fishing. Born 1933 in Manitou, MB and passed away from cardiac arrest at age 60 in Morden, MB. Survived by his wife Joan, son Rick, and son Randy in Morden, MB and daughter Patricia in Libau, MB.
