In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
MASANOTTI, John - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. John Masanotti, on December 9, 2022, at the age of 96.
Beloved husband for 71 years of the Late Mary Roffi, cherished father of Carol (the late Wayne) and John (Sheila), devoted grandfather of David, Rachel, Daryl, Rebecca. He will also be deeply missed by his great-grandchildren, Hudson, Piper, Jackson, Olivia, Samuel, Austin, Marissa, Ethan, and many relatives and friends.
A lifelong resident of Montreal (Ville Emard), John left home in August 1943 at age 17 to join the Royal Canadian Navy, where he served until discharged in September 1945.
A viewing will be held from 11:30 followed by a prayer meeting in the chapel of the complex at 1:00pm on January 21st at the Yves Légaré Complex in LaSalle, 7200 Newman Blvd.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors and nurses at the Veterans Hospital in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue for their wonderful support and care.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Vets Canada would be appreciated.
