In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
SNOW, Gordon Keith - 52, of Havre Boucher, Antigonish County and formerly of Rhodes Corner, died Thursday in St. Martha's Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Lower Ohio, Shelburne County, he was a son of the late Murray and Helen (Bower) Snow. He was a millwright employed by Nova Scotia Forest Industries in Port Hawkesbury. He was chief and president of Havre Boucher Fire Department; former deputy chief of Dayspring and District Fire Department; vice-president of the Strait Mutual Aid Association and assistant controller, Emergency Measures Organization. He also served 10 years in the Royal Canadian Navy. He is survived by his wife, the former Majorie Dares; a daughter, Shelly, Toronto; three sons, Brian, Vancouver, Darrell, Edmonston, N.B. and Derrick, Fredericton, N.B.; two stepsons, Glenwood and David, both of Rhodes Corner; a sister, Shirley (Mrs. Bill Phalen) and a brother, Gerald, both of Trenton. The body is in the R.A. Corkum Funeral Home, Wileville. Funeral service will be 1 p.m. Sunday in St. Luke's Lutheran Church, Rhodes Corner, Rev. Stephen Jasch officiating.
