PORTER, John Clifford, Ch MM, V17539, RCNVR, MPK - 16 Apr 1945, HMCS ESQUIMALT - Son of Earl Clifford Porter and Ada Lillian Porter, of London, Ontario; husband of Elizabeth M. Porter, of London.

 

Ch MM Porter died when his ship, HMCS ESQUIMALT, was torpedoed and sunk by U-190 off the approaches to Halifax harbour.
