SMART, John Morris Gregory, Lt, RCNVR, MPK - 16 Apr 1945, HMCS ESQUIMALT - Son of William Lynn Baily Smart, and of Dorothy P. Smart, of Ottawa, Ontario; husband of Maud Jocelyn Smart, of Toronto, Ontario.
Lt Smart died when his ship, HMCS ESQUIMALT, was torpedoed and sunk by U-190 off the approaches to Halifax harbour.
