MOUNTAIN, William Tudor, AB, V31164, RCNVR, MPK - 18 Mar 1945, HMCS GUYSBOROUGH - Son of William A. C. and Alice Mountain, of Calgary, Alberta.
AB Mountain died when his ship, HMCS GUYSBOROUGH, was torpedoed and sunk by U-868 in the Bay of Biscay with the loss of 53 of her crew.
William's half-brother, James L. Mountain, also served in the RCNVR during the Second World War. James was serving in Sydney, NS at the time of William's death.
