In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
WENTZELL, Harry Neil - at age 82 watched his last sunrise on March 14th after a short struggle with cancer.
Harry was born in Lantz, Hants Co at home to the late Winnifred and Elias Wentzell. Where he grew up in a happy family environment before joining the Navy at age 17 and serving faithfully for 34 years on many ships including the Bonaventure. Harry loved every moment he served and took every opportunity to play any sport he could. When the ships sailed his golf clubs were first on board. He loved hockey and played for Stadacona right up to the Old Timers. Upon retirement in 1991 Harry went to work at Hartlen Point Golf Course where he remained until the close of last season. Harry was well know to the golfers especially for his old hat that was mostly sideways and his beautiful smile that greeted everyone he came across. He looked forward to going to work every day watching the sun come up and working with the boys. But most of all he enjoyed beer Fridays supplied by the money from all the recyclables he collected and sorted every week faithfully.
Harry and his wife Nancy lead a charmed life with loving family and lots of travel and loved their winter home in Daytona Beach where they spent the last 27 winters and hosted many friends and family. A massive hole has been left in our lives and he will be missed every day.
Harry
is survived by his wife and best friend Nancy of 40 years, brother Fernald
(Barrie) Wentzell California, son Mark Wentzell (Tammy), Daughter Khrista
(Matt) Lawlor, daughter Rachel (Richard) Jenkins, son Troy (Laurie) White, 9
grand children Brandi, Brooke, Luke, Ali, Collins, AJ, Micheline, Ray and

Jensen.
Special thanks to his best bud and brother in law Greg and wife Fran who helped us through this difficult time and managed to make it a little more fun by taking Harry on his last pub crawl.
We would like to extend thank you to all the local fire fighters, paramedics and hospital staff for the care and support provided to Harry during this time. Especially the 3A ICU team at the VG hospital.
