Chester was a son of Fredrick and Annie Buse. He had a brother Irvine and sister Irene. Chester served in the Fishermen's Reserve during the Second World War from 11 Aug 1942 to 23 Aug 1943. He enlisted in the Canadian Army in Vancouver on 13 Mar 1944 (Service Number: K-608686). He married Constance Marle Hall (1925-1976) in Powell River, BC. They had a son Daniel Conrad Frederick Buse (1957-1959), and a daughter Colleen Marle (née Buse) Coppin (1958-2020). Chester was cremated. The location of his ashes are unknown.
Chester's death registration lists another son as the informant though his name is not legible - Ca??? Buse
Chester's father was born in Michigan, USA and his mother in Chickasaw, Ohio, USA.
