In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
RANKSTON, Peter Russell (Russ) - On Friday, April 28, 2023, Russ peacefully, passed away at Glynnwood Retirement Residence in Thornhill, Ontario, at the age of 97. Predeceased by his wife, Christeve (March 13, 2020); survived by children, Arlene Shirley (Ed), Craig Brankston, Peter Brankston (Carol Anne), Jean Currie, and Jim Currie (Anna); grandchildren, Matthew Shirley and Blair Marchand (Rob); and great-grandchildren, Quinn, and Hayden; nieces and nephews. Russ was a WWII veteran in the Royal Canadian Navy, he enjoyed sports all his life, playing hockey, golf and curling. Member of Thornhill Country Club since 1962 and past President 1966.
