In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
MacKENZIE, John Ross - Ross Mackenzie, aged 74, of Big Tancook Island, passed away on February 20, 2023, at the Halifax Infirmary. Ross was born on March 14, 1948, in Hamilton, Ontario, to parents Neil R. Mackenzie and Miranda W. Anderson. He went to school in Waterdown, Ontario, and joined the Canadian Armed Forces in 1967 where he served 30 years and retired as Chief Petty Officer, first class. Ross is survived by his loving wife, Linda (Engram) of 52 years; his son Christopher; his daughter Jennifer, and their families; sister Sheila Dickson. Ross enjoyed boating, spending time with his grandchildren and his dog Holly. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Special thanks to the Victorian Order of Nurses who attended to Ross during his illness. Memorial donations can be made to a charity of choice. Cremation has taken place in the care of Davis Funeral Home in Chester. (The Saltwire Network 29 Mar 2023)
