In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
McLEOD, Myrvin Kimball - age 90 of Middle Sackville, passed away peacefully in the Halifax Infirmary, QE2 on Sunday March 26th, 2023.
Born on Dec 7 1932 in Chatham NB, he was the youngest son of the late Asa and Belle McLeod. Myrvin was predeceased by his loving wife Joan Mary McLeod, brothers Arthur, Clifford, William and sister Avadney. Dad is survived by his son Randy (Tanya) McLeod, Middle Sackville, daughters Linda McKinsey, Cedar Park, Texas, Sandy (Peter) Pelletier, Berlin, NH , grandchildren Andrew (Cherie) McLeod, Katelyn (Chris) McSweeney, Kyle McLeod, Amanda (Adam) Clendenin, Kaleigh (James) Clark, Kourtney Tessier, special friend Doris Manderville and many great grandchildren.
Myrvin served many years in the Royal Canadian Navy on ships such as the HMCS Provider, Margaree, Annapolis, Fraser, and Preserver. He also worked several years at the Bedford Rifle Range before retiring in 1987.
Mom and dad spent many years traveling the Caribbean with our many trips to Cuba as fond memories of our time with them. Dad was probably best known for his practical jokes which sometimes backfired on him. He loved spending time with his many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Service will take place at 11am on April 11th at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens, 767 Main Street, Dartmouth followed by a reception at noon.
Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Cobequid Health Center and the Halifax Infirmary for the special care to Myrvin. In lieu of flowers a donation in Myrvins memory can be made to the Royal Canadian Legion.
