In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
GAY, Christopher John - 66, Halifax, died Sunday in Victoria General Hospital.
Born in London, England, he was a son of the late Hubert and Florence (Govus) Gay.
He was a veteran of the Second World War, having served in the navy from 1941 to 1945.
He was a member of Somme Branch 31, Royal Canadian Legion, Dartmouth.
He is survived by a sister, Millie (Mrs. Cliff Maze), Calgary, Alta.; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother, Leicester.
The body is in Mattatall's Funeral Home, Dartmouth, visiting 2-4 p.m. 7-9 p.m. today, where a legion service will be 7 p.m. today, and where funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Rev. Arthur Snow officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Halifax.
