In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
HOLLYWOOD, Phillip - In the early hours of July 10th, 2023, Phillip Hollywood passed away peacefully after a short bout of cancer. He was 89 years old. Phill joined the Royal Canadian Navy as an ordinary seaman, later becoming an officer, and retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Commander. After retiring, Phill spent the next 20 years exploring the Pacific Ocean. Sailing in his beloved ketch Wikiwin, Phill ended up in Thailand, living there until his return to Canada in 2020. He is survived by his ex-wife Lillian, his son Greg, and daughter Kelly (Ron.) His Celebration of Life will be determined at a later date. (The Victoria Times Colonist 29 Jul 2023)
