ELMORE, Frank Russell - 81, of Port George, passed away on Saturday, June 17, 2023 in Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital, Middleton. Born in Douglasville, NS he was a son of the late Frank and Marion (Hines) Elmore. Frank retired after 35 years with Royal Canadian Navy. He also worked as a lumber jack in the woods for 20 years. He was an avid woodworker, computer genius, and was known for ‘jerry-rigging’ all things. Anyone that knew him would call him “Poppy”. Frank was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 1, Middleton, and a friend of Bill W. He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Donna; daughters, Linda Elmore (Billy MacLaughlin), Edmonton and Sandy Elmore (Tony Kinsman), Middleton; step-son, Andrew Garneau, Halifax; grandchildren, Jason Phillips (Madison VanWest), Ronin Kinsman (Mia Fraser), Hayden Kinsman (Dylon Thrussel), Korynn Farnsworth (Miguel Archer); sisters, Grace Elmore (Trevor Weaver), Barbara (Wayne) Corbett, Audrey (Ed) Parlee, all of Port George; Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother, Donald, first wife, Paulette and son, Steven Elmore. In keeping with Frank’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Celebration of life will be held 2:00PM Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 1., Middleton. Interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery, Port George. In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory may be made to Royal Canadian Legion Branch No.1, Middleton. (Middleton Funeral Home)
