The son of Harry Wournell and Jennie L. Gibbons. He married Bernice Lorraine Thompson 08 Jun 1942, Halifax, NS.
Harry Wournell served in the Royal Canadian Navy from September, 1939 to January, 1946. He was a cook at the "H' Division (NS) RCMP Mess between June-July, 1953. He then joined the RCMP in Halifax, NS as a Special Constable and as a cook in the Marine Division. He then became a Marine Constable in April, 1960. He drowned in the Northumberland Straight while still serving in the RCMP. His RCMP Regimental No. is M/33.
Harry's marriage registration indicates he was in the RCNVR.
Harry is buried in the Fairview Lawn Cemetery, Halifax, NS.
