FOX, Albert Sydney (Al) - 70, 211 Cumberland Street, Lunenburg, died July 23, 1993, in Fishermen's Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg. Born in Beloeil, P.Q., he was a son of the late Albert and Florence (Readmond) Fox. He served during the Second World War with the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Royal Canadian Navy, and went on to his career in business management in Ontario, Quebec, and Nova Scotia. He retired as general manager of the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic, Lunenburg. He had been past president of the Nova Scotia Golf Association and member of Lunenburg Golf and Country Club and Ashburn Golf and Country Club. During his lifetime in golfing, he mastered seven holes in one. He was a member of St. Norbert's Roman Catholic Church, Lunenburg; Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 23, Lunenburg, and former member of Lunenburg Curling Club. He is survived by his wife, the former Marie Currie; two daughters, Mary Anne (Mrs. Tony Selig), Prospect Bay; June (Mrs. Brendan Casey), Toronto; three grandchildren. He was predeceased by two sisters, Mae, Venitta; brother, Joseph. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Sunday in Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, Lunenburg. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Monday in St. Norbert's Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Joseph MacKinnon officiating. Burial will be held at a later date.
