SUTTON-ATKINS, Philip Arthur - born in Vancouver on August 18, 1922, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on October 12, 2005. He is predeceased by his grandson Todd in 1985. Loving and missing him deeply is his wife of 62 years, Joan; daughters Judy (Bruno) Samborsky and Susan (John) Lukasek; son Philip (Karen) Sutton-Atkins; grandchildren Leanne (Stephan), Chris (Jana), Lisa (Ray), Scott (Shannon), Philip, Matthew, and Hannah; great grandchildren Aleisha, Adrielle, Emma and Abby; brother George, sister-in-law Dorothy and family; and childhood friends Art, Jack, and Howard who met with him monthly for lunch. Phil had a long-time career in the Postal Service. He also proudly served as a volunteer Fire Chief in Delta for many years. Phil was a Veteran with the Royal Canadian Navy Signal Corp. during WWII. The family would like to thank all the staff at MSA ICU and a very special thanks to Mark. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. from Woodlawn Funeral Home, 2310 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford. Burial to follow at the Veteran's section at Hazelwood Cemetery.
