LATIMER, Ernest George, PO, 2418, RCN, killed - 27 Aug 1943, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of Robert George and Jane Latimer, of Vancouver, British Columbia.
PO Latimer died from wounds received when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was stuck by a glider bomb while conducting operations in the Bay of Biscay. He was buried at sea.
