LIND, Mekkel George, Sto PO, V13918, RCNVR, MPK - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of Jorgen and Helga Lind, of Innisfail, Alberta.
Sto PO Lind died when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel. Three of his brothers, Jager, Norman and Sjedrup were serving in the Canadian Army at the time of his death.
