LOVE, Walter McGiffen, ERA 3c, V8030, RCNVR, MPK - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of Henry Edward Fred and Eva Elizabeth Love, of Hamilton, Ontario; husband of Muriel Mennetta Love, of Hamilton, Ontario.
ERA Love died when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel.
Walter's brother, Edward L. Love also served in the Navy during the Second World War.
