QUINN, John Ernest (Jack) - Passed away peacefully at home in Hamilton in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Jean (Ireland) for 60 years. Loving father of Patrick and Sandra, Barry and Louise, Carol and Gary, Guy and Monica and the late Philip. Grandfather of Valerie and Rick, Kalli, James, Erin and Marc, John Michael and Lily, Dorian, Duane, Kerry Ann and Gary, Elliot and Liam. Big Papa to great- grandchildren Quinn, Kate, Kylie, Pierce, Zoe and Michayla. Dear brother of Fred, Jeanne Wright and the late Frances Miller.
Naval Veteran of W.W.II, '39 to '45, retired Captain of the Hamilton Fire Department a.k.a. 'Commander', life member of the Chief's and P. O.'s Mess, H.M.C.S. Star and Chiefs Club of Rochester N.Y. An active member of Hamilton's community including the Geritol Follies, Y.W.C.A. Seniors, the Hamilton Victoria Curling Club, Golden Horseshoe Wood Carvers and Burlington Art Centre.
The family will receive friends at the Markey-Dermody Funeral Home (in Hamilton), 1774 King St. E. (at Kenilworth) on Sunday, July 28th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Prayer Service Sunday at 8 p.m. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Monday, July 29th at St. Eugene's Church in Hamilton (Parkdale and Queenston Rd. ) Cremation to follow.
