They made the Ultimate Sacrifice
MOORE, David Merlyn Lowell, AB, 26525-H, RCN, Died - 20 May 1957, HMCS BONAVENTURE - Son of Freeman and Laura Moore of Campbell Bay, Quebec.
AB Moore died of asphyxia while in an alcoholic induced coma on his 20th birthday. The young sailor celebrated his birthday with his first (official) tot but also celebrated with "sippers" from his shipmates. His death was ruled to be from misadventure.
AB Moore is buried in the Belfast City Cemetery, Northern Ireland.
