RYAN, E. Murray - Halifax barrister dies at 60
E. Murray Ryan, QC, 60, a prominent Halifax barrister, died Thursday in the Victoria General Hospital after a brief illness.
A life-long resident of Halifax, he was the son of the late John Francis and Agnes Ryan.
Educated at Dalhousie University, he served with the Royal Canadian Navy during World War II, and then practised law in Halifax until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret; three sons, Robert, Truro; Michael and Carey of Halifax; two sisters, Audrey Ryan and Carolyn Flynn, both of Halifax.
His body is at the Halifax Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held in St. Thomas Aquinas Church at 10 a.m., Saturday. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. (The Halifax Chronicle-Herald, Fri., 28 Jun 1974)
