ROBERTSHAW, Eric, AB ST, V8634, RCNVR, killed - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of Charles and Edith Robertshaw, of Hamilton, Ontario.
AB Robertshaw died when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel on 29 Apr 1944. His body was recovered and he was buried in the Plouescat Communal Cemetery, Finistere, France. The province of Ontario honoured Able Seaman Robertshaw by naming Robertshaw Lake in his honour.
