BLINN, J. Anselm (Sam) - 89, Halifax, died Saturday, June 22, 2002, in the New Halifax Infirmary, QEII. He was a son of the late Louis and Ida (Comeau) Blinn (Church Point, Digby Co.). Born in Church Point, Oct. 3, 1912, Sam served in the Canadian Navy during the Second World War and was a longstanding member of the Royal Canadian Legion and of the Carpenters Union. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Geraldine; daughter Rosemarie Eisner, Regina; sons Louis, Calgary; Richard, Victoria; Roland, Halifax; seven grandchildren. He was predeceased by brothers, Camille, Edouard and Eloi. A memorial service to be held at a later date in St. Theresa's Church, Halifax.
