WRIGHT, Richard Christopher Farr, Sto 2c, 21608, RCN MPK - 25 Jun 1940, HMCS FRASER - Son of Arthur William and Kate Wright, of Victoria, British Columbia.

 

Stoker Wright died when his ship, HMCS FRASER, was in a collision with HMS CALCUTTA 12 miles due west of Pointe de la Coubre light at the Gironde River mouth and sank as a result with the loss of 65 of her crew.

 

Richard attended Victoria West and Victoria High Schools. He is survived besides his parents, by three brothers, Arthur, at Cobbie Hill, B.C. Lionel and Fred at home and a sister, Agnes at home.

HMCS STADACONA - Drafted to STADACONA 09 Jan 1940
