TUPPER, Allister Robertson, OA 4c, V40751, RCNVR, MPK - 29 Apr 1944, HMCS ATHABASKAN - Son of John D. and Jessie Tupper, of New Glasgow, Nova Scotia; husband of Helen Florence Pauline Tupper, of New Glasgow.
Ordnance Artificer Allister Robertson Tupper was born on April 19, 1918 in Stellarton, Nova Scotia. He served with the 2nd Battalion North New Brunswick Regiment from January 10, 1941, until June 22, 1942 in Canada and overseas. He joined the R.C.N.V.R., at Halifax June 23, 1942. On September 02, 1943, he was drafted aboard H.M.C.S. Athabaskan.
OA Tupper died when his ship, HMCS ATHABASKAN, was torpedoed and sunk in the English Channel on April 29, 1944.
