In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
ADAMS, Robert Alexander (Bob) - Our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather, born May 27, 1925, in New Westminster, lost his courageous 2 month battle at RCH due to post-op complications on the evening of March 30/12, his brother Bill was with him when he died. Bob fought so hard to stay with us but in the end he knew it was time to take his place among the many that had gone before him. He was a straight shooting guy who possessed a soft touch for those closest to him. Quick to pour you a drink and share a story, his love for people was truly unmatched. He was predeceased by his parents, Innes and Olive; Brother Bud; Daughter, Dianne Burke. He is survived by his loving Wife and Soul mate, Terry; Daughter Debra (Norm); Son-in-law, Larry; Grandchildren, Lauren (Greg); Adam (Karly); Kelly (Jeremy); Kerry (Ryan); Ryan (Christine); and great-grandchildren; Cadence and Justin; brother Bill (Joy); sister-in-law Joan and many Nephews and Nieces. A special thanks to all the RCH Doctors and Nurses who cared for Bob in 3S;ICU;HAU;5S. A Celebration of life will be held at Valley View Funeral Home, 1466-72nd Avenue in Surrey, BC. on Saturday, April 7th, 2012 at 10:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to the B.C. Cancer Foundation or B.C. Children's Hospital Foundation in his honour. (The Vancouver Sun / The Province 05 Apr 2012)
