In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
OGILVY, Constance Eileen (Connie) - Peacefully at home in Fowey, Cornwall, February 9, 2009. Known for her ebullient humour, love of athletics, zest for life, tall tales, loyalty. Connie joined the Women's Royal Canadian Naval Service (Wrens) in 1942, was discharged in 1946, rejoined in 1952, and ultimately served in Ottawa as Staff Officer (Wrens). Predeceased by sisters Edith and Marion, dearly missed by companion Pip, nephews John and Mike, nieces Jane and Judy, Dot and other friends in Canada and Britain. 'And may there be no sadness of farewell, when I embark.'
Buried in Mount Pleasant cemetery, Toronto. She served in Toronto and Halifax during the war. She studied social work at U of T from 1945 to 1955.
