LOGAN, William Harry - It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the passing of Bill, age 77, of Dartmouth, at the Victoria General Hospital in Halifax, on January 25, 2024.
He was born on August 30, 1946, in Medicine Hat, Alberta, to parents Alton and Elizabeth Logan. Bill grew up in Boiestown, New Brunswick. He enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy in 1966 as an electrician and served for 30 years on numerous ships, until his retirement in 1996. Bill was also a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Calais Branch 162, in Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia, for 57 years. In retirement, Bill enjoyed working in his garden and spending time at the hunting camp with his buddies.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen of 36 years; daughter, Melanie (Trevor Rolfe), Windsor Forks; son, Andrew (Leah Brown), Brooklyn; grandchildren, Shyann, William, Tracey and Jacob; siblings, Carole Maraz, Brooks, Alberta, and Robert Logan, Langley, British Columbia. He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Allen.
Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Bill’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. A committal service for family and friends will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes church cemetery at a later date.
