In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
DONALDSON, Norman Joseph - 91 years of family, hard work and lots of fun, now Norm has joined the love of his life Georgette. A great father to Gloria (Fasan) Weathers and husband Bill Weathers; Beverly Thornton and husband John Welch; and Cynthia (Baron) Knowler. Pre-deceased by his son-in-laws Mike Knowler and Jean-Guy Labrecque. Wonderful Grandfather of: Brent Thornton (pre-deceased), Lisa (Thornton) Francia and husband Jae Hou, sons Eric and Ryan, Tanya Thornton, Kelly (Thornton) Bornais and husband Bill Bornais, Christopher Fasan, Micheal Fasan and wife Courtney (West) Fasan, Patrick Fasan, Tamara (Baron) (Oglesby) Leeming and husband Mike Leeming, Karilyn Knowler and Kenny Knowler. Loving Great-Grandfather of: Taylor Francia, Ethan Thornton, Jarrod Bornais, Emily Bornais, Daytona Oglesby, Michael Oglesby, Winston Leeming, Sasha (Knowler) Stoilijkovic, Jackson Fasan. A World War II Navy Veteran, he retired from the Government of Canada Customs Drawbacks and Excise at age 55. He retired from the Windsor Raceway and has been a Legion member. He has travelled on cruises with Georgette, and Rving for over 25 years. They were active members of the Rose City Travellers, Twin Seas Caravan Club and the NCHA. He resided at Sunrise Retirement Home and then Chateau Park LTC enjoying his later years making new friends and watching the ships sail by.
