In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
FRYER, Patrick - 79 of Sun City Center, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on April 17, 2016. Pat was born in Amherstburg, Ontario Canada on December 8, 1936. He moved to the US in 1967 and had his first home in Detroit, Michigan. Over the years he had several homes in Michigan. He loved to buy houses, fix them up and move on to the next. He had three horses and several dogs. He loved his animals. In 2000, He moved to Florida as the Cold in Michigan got too much for him.
He served In the Canadian Navy for 3 years, following St. Rose High in Canada. He worked at Allied Chemical for 11 years alongside his dad and brothers. In the US, he worked at the Kroger warehouse until they closed and then went to work for a house painter who trained him. After a few years, He struck out on his own. He also served as janitor for 3 office bldgs. In the evenings. He also provided lawn care for these 3 bldgs.
He is proceed in death by his parents, his infant daughter and 7 siblings. He is survived by his wife Margaret of 58 years, his son Joseph (Karen) and Jeffrey (Kathy). He had 5 grandchildren, Kristina, Sarah, Kristina, Joel and Dillon, and 3 great grandchildren Kaley, Kole, and Isaiah. Also surviving are 3 siblings Peggy, Bob and Betty. Also Special Friend, Janet and Janine Odell and special neighbors Jack and Ramona Thompson and Ann D’Avilla.
There will not be funeral service held in Accordance with Pat’s Wishes. Instead a Memorial service will be held in Michigan at a later date.
Special thanks to Dr. Geo Denmarkar, his nurse Louise, Mary Annie and the whole staff for giving us pat for over a year. They were all so kind and made his chemo treatments bearable. He actually looked forward to his treatment days because of the attention he was paid and the friendly, welcoming atmosphere he felt.
