In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
EVOY, Ernest Franklin (Frank) – It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Evoy on Saturday, February 4, 2017 at the Sault Area Hospital with family at his side. Frank was in his 91st year. He was born in Bar River and after service in the Royal Canadian Navy studied engineering at Queen’s University and then obtained a PhD in Geology at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. After a career that saw Frank travelling much of the globe and spending many years outside of Canada, he returned to the Soo area to retire and be close to family and friends. Much loved father of Kathleen, Derek, Richard (Susan) and Jennifer (Nick). Proud grandfather of Janet, Oriana, Justine, Erin, Kharis, Kate and Connor. Dear brother of Madge Hill, Edith Darou, Rilla North, Gerry (Kim), Wendell (Elaine), and the late Bill, Beula Palmer, Verna Infanti, Tony, Bernel (Leona), Della and Nelda Evoy. Frank will be sadly missed by his many extended family members and friends. A heartfelt thank-you to the staff on 2 Cedar at the F J Davey Home, who made his life better over the last 3 years, for all of their care, compassion and support. Family and friends may visit at the Arthur Funeral Home & Cremation Centre on Saturday, February 11, 2017 from 1 pm until words of remembrance at 3 pm.
