EVANS, David - Passed away peacefully in his 88th year with his loving family at his side after a five 1/2 year battle with cancer on April 7, 2024. Married to the love of his life, for what would of been their 65th wedding anniversary on April 11, to Patricia (nee Lee). Loving father to Debi (Chuck), Diane (Mark) and Willow (fur baby). Adored by his grandchildren Julianna (Rob), Alex, Adam and Anthony (Amanda). Also two great-grandchildren Madelyn and Nathan Gowing who loved their Papa. Survived by his brother Doug, sisters Carol McCauley and Wanda Austin along with many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brothers Don and Ross and his little boy Chico (fur baby). Dave started his career in the Navy and then worked at the Atlas Steeles. The Atlas coffee club met every Friday at Tim Hortons and dad always look forward to seeing the boys. Special thanks to Dr. Levesque, Dr. Conan and all the staff at the Walker Family Cancer Centre for the wonderful care dad received. Nurses Colleen,Trina and Jocelyn for all your visits and care. Dad loved you all and appreciated all you did for him. To the GNG ER staff, thank you so much for treating dad like family during his frequent visits. Dr. Chauhan, thank you for quickly arranging all of dad's needs so that he could go home with all the comforts that he needed. Dr. D Rosa and Dr. T Chan, thank you for all the care you have given dad over the years. Special thanks to Our Mom and Dad's dear friend Agnes who has been there everyday to help them in anyway she could.
