In memory of those who have Crossed the Bar
LAMBERT, Walter Frederick - passed away peacefully on December 4th in Lachine at the age of 96. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 71 years, Irene (Glen) and his children Bob and Sandra.
Wally served in the Royal Canadian Navy during the Second World War. He was a long-time employee of Domination Textile Ltd. and, for many years, a member of the Lachine Civitan Club. For his faithful service to the parish of St. Mark's (now known as All Saints By the Lake), Wally received the Bishop's Award in 1999. A tireless volunteer in the community of Lachine-Dorval, he was awarded the Diamond Jubilee medal in 2012, having been nominated by AVA/TIL. Always willing to help when needed, Wally will be remembered for his kind heart and generous spirit.
A private memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 14th at St. Mark's Chapel, Dorval. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society in Wally's memory would be appreciated. (The Montreal Gazette 10 Dec 2021)
